Case Studies

The Brief

StudentCom is a division of CableCom Networking,  a leading UK-based cabling and networking services installation provider.  In Feb 2012 they were  launching a new website and wanted to produce some short video case-studies based on some of their many clients. Northumbria University was selected as the client to base the pilot film around.

Our Response

Our main aim was to create some engaging films which featured real-people who saw the tangible benefits of the StudentCom service day-to-day. The internet has revolutionised the entire world. We wanted to get across how important a good, solid internet provider is. The testimonials in this project would be coming from the Internet Generation; 18/19 year olds, perhaps the most demanding demographic for fast, reliable internet connections. Our film was planned in a way to get this passion & reliance on the Internet across through informal, on-location interviews and use quirky motion graphics to represent the social media aspects and StudentCom services available.

The Results

The film proudly sits on the home page of the CableCom Networking website, and they have reported that it is a hugely effective sales tool. More films are planned for the future.

I chose to work with YourFilm following a recommendation from one of our customers. Right from even before the project started, I found the team to be both helpful and friendly, and I was impressed with some of the innovative ideas they came up with to make our film more interesting and engaging. In addition to filming and editing, they also helped me to arrange and coordinate the whole thing including contacting the staff and students at Northumbria University, which I greatly appreciated. I really enjoyed working with Your Film and felt that they were always willing to go the extra mile to make our film a success. We are really pleased with the final result, which we have now proudly posted on the home page of our new website, and will definitely be Your Film for our next production!
